Drew Pelc entered the kitchen industry in the summer of 1986 and hasn’t looked back since. Drew was recruited to join GCW in February of 2007, to bring his expertise to both our design and management teams.

Drew Pelc is widely regarded to be one of the top professionals in the cabinet industry and has been interviewed for television and printed articles as well as being requested for on-stage “ask the expert” symposiums at home and trade show. Drew has won awards for his kitchen design work, as well as having his designs featured in several magazines and newspapers across the country. Drew’s designs have also appeared several times in London’s “Kitchens on Parade” tour.

Shelley is a Senior Designer at GCW Custom Kitchens & Cabinetry Inc. She graduated from college with a diploma in Interior Design in 1997 and shortly there after decided to focus her career on custom kitchen design.

Shelley's ability to visualize the finished project from the onset gives her designs that extra edge and detail required to enhance the function and aesthetics of any interior space. She is capable of analyzing a client's wants, needs and lifestyle requirements and integrating this information into a design that is pleasing, functional and practical enough for everyday living but also reflecting her client’s individual style. From concept to completion, her ideas combined with her own love of cooking and entertaining in the kitchen have made her the award winning designer she is today.

Shelley is the recipient of the 2006 “Most Outstanding Kitchen” (in Ontario) award, as presented by the Ontario Home Builders Association (OHBA).

Shelley has had several of her kitchen designs featured in magazines, The London Free Press, and in London's "Kitchens On Parade Tour" on several occassions.


Pam
began her design career as a designer’s assistant after graduating from College with an Interior Design Diploma. While working with a prominent local designer she gained valuable knowledge and experience in the design field, specifically in the areas of kitchen & bathroom renovations. It was at that time that Pam decided to focus her career in that particular area and hasn’t looked back since. Pam has specifically enjoyed working with our high-end clients on some of the larger and more detailed projects involving elaborate designs and creative use of custom cabinetry.

Pam’s design experience is not limited to the kitchen and bathroom; she has designed some incredible pieces for entertainment centers, home offices, and fireplace built-ins. Her artistic eye and creativity makes her a great resource for her clients in regards to specialized planning and project material selections. With each project she adds unique design features while keeping in mind the client’s needs and wants. Her love for design and style keeps her up to date with fresh new looks and colours which bring to life the idea’s and dreams of her clients to create the ultimate space for living, dining, working or entertaining.

Cindy graduated from college in 1994 with an Interior Design diploma. She worked in the design industry for a full five years before deciding to turn her design skills and attention towards the area of kitchen design. Cindy feels that the interior design experience gained outside of the kitchen industry gives her invaluable insight into being able to provide her clients with “the complete package” of design and function.

Throughout the years, Cindy has worked with several quality home builders, architects, contractors, renovators and other interior designers. During this time Cindy has designed some spectacular kitchens and vanities, as well as entertainment units, fireplace mantles, bars, reception desks, home offices and many other areas of the home or office requiring custom cabinetry. By 2004, Cindy’s reputation had begun to grow and was selected as the cabinetry designer for the Fantasy Lottery home in London Ontario.

Cindy is very passionate about the work that she does and the spaces that she creates for her clients. More than most designers, Cindy is a good listener when it comes to her clients requests. She believes in a practical, non-aggressive approach to designing her client’s spaces. Regardless of the scale or scope of the project, Cindy puts her heart and soul into designing the perfect space for her clients which will not only suit their particular taste but their lifestyle and budget as well. 

Jennifer has been a designer with GCW Custom Kitchens and Cabinetry for over 6 years as well a partner in a Custom Contracting business with her husband for over 15 years.

From design concept to project completion Jennifer is able to meet the needs of her clients by building relationships and taking the time to understand their visions and dreams.

Jennifer prides herself on creating precisely focused designs while working within budgets and timelines.

Graduate with a Interior Decorating President Honours Diploma, Jennifer’s interior knowledge, understanding and belief that function and fashion are equally important continue to assist her with the cabinetry designs within all aspects of her projects.

 

Greg began his Kitchen Design career in 1976 and since “Kitchens” was also his family’s business, he became involved at a very early age. Greg was involved in the manufacturing and installation of cabinetry as well as designing and selling, giving him a unique perspective on how various levels and dimensions work together in cabinetry design.

Greg has won several awards for his design work including twice winning the “Most Outstanding Kitchen” award as presented by the LHBA (London Home Builders Association). Greg has had several of his kitchens in the annual Kitchens on Parade event as well as being featured in the Life Style magazine. Greg understands that this industry is ever changing and that keeping up with current trends in design and fashion are a key part of his success.

Greg loves what he does and his passion for creating beautiful and functional living spaces for his clients is what keeps him fresh.

Tammy’s talent and passion for design is what led her to pursue a career in kitchen design. She recently graduated from Fanshawe College’s Interior Decorating Program top of her class and is also a member of the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association). Tammy delivers fresh new design ideas and displays her skills on every project she works on, giving her clients unique spaces that suit both their personalities and their lifestyles.

Prior to becoming a Kitchen Designer, Tammy specialized for ten years in many areas of the design industry, such as flooring, lighting, and other area’s of home décor. This experience has given her the ability to walk into a room and visualize the complete space from floor to ceiling. Tammy’s expertise in material selection and space planning, allows her to offer her clients great kitchen designs, making the process less overwhelming for her clients. Tammy feels that the kitchen is the heart of the home and truly enjoys the opportunity to create a beautifully designed space for her clients and their families.

Alycia may have only graduated from High School in 2008, but she has been employed by GCW during the summer months since 2006 as an assistant to the design team. Alycia is currently completing the Interior Design program at Fanshawe College and will continue her career in Kitchen Design here at GCW during the summer months and for her co-op placements.

Alycia brings a fresh young perspective to the GCW design team. Her studies and involvement in the design field has had a direct impact on the other designers at GCW in regards to the newest colours and style trends. Alycia is very appreciative and thankful that she has been given an excellent opportunity to learn more about cutting edge, high-end design from GCW’s award-winning and experienced designers. Alycia’s involvement in the Kitchen Design industry has solidified her resolve that she will continue to her focus her future career on Kitchen Design and will join GCW full time upon her graduation from college in Interior Design in late 2010.

Beth began her career in kitchen design in 2004, shortly after graduating from College with a diploma in Interior Decorating. Initially Beth started out as a Design Assistant, and later on graduated to become a Design Consultant herself. Though the years, Beth has gained extensive knowledge and experience in kitchen and bathroom design. With a keen eye for colour and flow her experience as an Interior Decorator comes into play on every job with each selection she makes. Beth has earned the respect of both her clients and her peers and enjoys the process of taking a space from what it was to what it is now. Beth has received dozens of heartfelt positive responses from her clients upon the completion of her work over the years, and regards that as a reward for the hard work that goes into creating incredible spaces for amazing clients.

Lorna brings 25 years of decorative art and design background with her to GCW. She has a firm grasp of construction and space planning with many years of experience in Home Building, Renovation and Additions; planned and executed. Her firm belief in the principals of beauty and function working together to meet the clients  hopes and dreams, has lead her to focus her abilities on Kitchen Design. A genuine love of cooking, and sharing that gift, has given her a true joy and love of Kitchen space planning. Respecting and understanding the investment in the hub of your home keeps her grounded in the practical and personal aspects of designing a space that reflects your lifestyle and personal taste.
